Support Something Positive

We are an ever-growing, worldwide network of people devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe.  Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators.  The money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizaing "micro-trustees" and given upfront in cash, check or gold doubloons.  The chapters are autonomous and organized by the trustees around geographic areas or topics of interest.  The Foundation provides these grants with no strings attached and claims no ownerhsip over the projects it supports.  It is, in the words of one of our trustees, a micro-genius grant for flashes of micro-brilliance.

Since its humble beginnings, many Awesome Foundation chapers have sprung up globally to conserve, sustain, and support the worldwide ecosystem of awesomeness.  Projects have included efforts in a wide range of areas including technology, arts, social good, and beyond.

New Author Spotlight:  Vickie Brent-Touray,
Author of "A Peace of My Mind".

A "child of the 70's", Vickie Brent-Touray, the author of A Peace of My Mind, was born and raised about 25 miles north of Detroit in the City of Pontiac, Michigan in the wake of “great industry, greater music, the best food and even better times.” The entire Midwest was thriving and pulsing in the cradle of what was affectionately called “The Big 3” (Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler.) It was ...in the cradle of this great metropolis that the author was first inspired to pen personal experiences of visions, smells and sounds that she considered truly “marvelous in their own right”.

A Peace of My Mind is a collection of what the author refers to as “introspective poetry”. We think you’ll find this author’s poetry to be very conversational, transparent and “real”. What we like most about this new author, is her ability to articulate simple human experiences in a way that is both honest and enriching.
